Little Shoe Obsession

At times, I wonder, which of my attributes I will pass down to my daughter. Like this shoe one I got from my Mother. Growing-up my mother would tell me invest your money on shoes and handbags not clothes. Thankfully, we have not started to buy her handbags.

Children’s shoes can be overwhelming. Two years into this Mom life an I am still overwhelmed by what to buy. The shoe should have great quality, will last a while and is reasonably priced. When G was little, I would just put her in moccasins when we went out. Actual shoes purchases did not start until she was crawling. Below are a few of the Brands and Styles that have worked for us.

Little Bipsy is a adorable shop. Pretty sure we probably own one of everything. This shop will be mentioned in a couple of post so let me just focus on the shoe game. Literally, you can purchase an amazing quality shoe for your little, from Newborn, on up to Big Kid. The sandals and high-tops, are all extremely well made, super easy to wipe clean. If I have any critique, I notice G wanted to take her high-tops off in the summer because her feel would get a bit sweaty. Who’s feet don’t get sweaty in the summer?? Little Bipsy sandals have a very strong Velcro strap that stays put through running around. The upper portion of the sandals looked great even after months of wearing them. Every pair of shoes and sandals I have purchased, I have been able to pass down to friends, because they are still in amazing condition. FIT: I would just suggest measuring your little’s foot and compare it to the size guide on the website. Size guide worked perfect for G.

Adidas has some of the most comfortable toddler shoes. Well, they look super comfortable. G has not been able to express fit critiques with me yet. This past fall I found these Adidas Superstar 360. Super cute camo print, peach colored stripes and it was a slip on. Seriously, I fell in love. The inside of the shoe is really soft so G did not need any socks with them. Super easy to slip on and off. The soles of these shoes are very easy to clean and have this crazy pattern which makes them super flexible. This print is not currently on the site but I have a link to the same style shoe. FIT: I would again just suggest using the size guide on the website. Actually, I just ordered the same size as I was purchasing in the Little Bipsy brand and they worked.

Carter’s does have a wide selection of shoes. Please do not Momshame me but I usually am not a fan of the styles they have. Shopping there one day, G just happened to spot this pair of glitter slip-on shoes and it was love at first sight. This pink glitter shoe is probably the first shoe that she just wanted to “show off” to us. Surprisingly, this shoe has been pretty fun to use for dressing up a causal outfit or tearing it up on the playground. FIT: Fit is true to size and we have not had any issues with it slipping off while playing.

Vans are just super cool shoes. Kinda feel like I should own a pair just to improve my self confidence. So these Vans velcro strap toddler size shoes are absolutely ridiculous. Super sturdy, great for the playground, easy to wipe clean. Look pretty awesome with jeans. Just a really big fan of how stylish these kicks are. FIT: True to size maybe even a little more room in the width which is kind of nice.

Dadawen boots were an Amazon find. I purchased these boots because they reminded me of a Doc Martin. These were purchased as something cute to wear with tights and a dress. Honestly, G has not worn them very much. I would categorize them as more of an occasion type of shoe for us. Quality is good, they look super cute and are easy on and off. FIT: Runs a little big

Maxu boots had really high hopes for us. This boot was also an Amazon find. Let me start by saying the print is absolutely adorable. I just pictured pairing these with skinny jeans or leggings. This shoe for us just didn’t work because it was a hassle to get on and off with the side zip and lace up the front. G, just didn’t like running around in them. They seemed kind of clunky on her so I think G just didn’t feel very stable in them. FIT: Runs a bit big

Because every little girl needs a black patent leather shoe I had to share just one more pair. Also, an Amazon find, the Bear Mall shoe is so adorable. The sole has some grip to it which helped G to tear up the dance floor when she wore these for the first time. The velcro strap is pretty strong which makes the shoe pretty stable. Upper is very easy to wipe clean if needed. So happy to have snagged this shoe. G literally danced for three hours in them and did not have any issues. Super cute if you need a dress shoe. FIT: true to size. Usually I size up like a half size when I buy G her shoes so she has room to grow. These I purchased to fit the size she was currently wearing.

Alright that is a few of my kids size shoe finds.
